The design of Nature to Bridge, an outdoor learning space located along Harlem Valley Rail Trail, has received approval from Duchess County! Developed by MKM, this innovative project features a series of outdoor learning clusters that stretch from a welcoming kiosk on Millerton's main street in New York to the renovated old rail bridge spanning the Webatuck Creek.
MKM's design approach focused on the integration of interpretive signage, featuring diverse forms and ornamental details, harmoniously blending with the local nature and culture. These captivating learning clusters will be adorned with layered plantings and a vibrant pollinator garden, creating a truly immersive experience. To enhance interaction and provide recreational opportunities, the space will also feature boulder-like seating and scientific learning equipment.
